Tricksies

Soren's new trick is to give Mama kisses, and I love love LOVE it!!! It feels a little more like I'm appreciated. There's nothing like getting slobbery kisses on demand, and sometimes randomly.

Another of his favorites right now is Banana Bread. He loves the stuff! I'm confident to say that he could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. p.s. it does wonders in the diaper too...thought you'd like to know. :o)

He also very much loves turning pages. Any kind of page. Which led to a pretty nasty paper cut last week. He came crawling for me to hold him and a little bit later I realized there was blood spots on my white sweatshirt (it was my pajamas, so there's really no desire to get it out). He got it across the top of 3 fingers, but it was only deep enough to bleed on one finger. He got to wear his first 'real' bandaid (other than when he got his shots). For the first couple hours he would occasionally stop whatever he was doing and stare at his had as he opened and closed it. I got a kick at how concentrated he was on the little bandaid and also at how long he left it on.

I'd say his absolute most favorite thing to do right now is climb on, in, and out of things. Here are some of the many places he climbs around on.

Look mom... only one hand!

I was absolutely amazed at this one: he climbed onto this all by himself, sat in backwards, turned himself around, and climbed back out. All with a nice smile on his face. He had never done it before and hasn't done it again. Just exploring I guess.Often times after I change his diaper he gets away fast before I can get pants back on him. Lately he's found that going in and out of his diaper basket is pretty fun.

This little shape drops into a truck, but he found a different use for it. There is a tiny whole in the middle and can get it to whistle. None of the other shapes do it, just this orange one, so he only plays with this one.

This finger is usually in there most of the day now. Those first molars are making their way in, which has been making our days not so enjoyable.
