January 4. What happened a year ago today? We were in the hospital, and were delighted beyond belief about our new addition to the family. Not only is it Soren's birthday, but it is Dan's too! What a great day for both my boys!
Then:
Now:
Aunt Sara made a trip to Denver and got to spend the weekend with us. She and Soren got time to get to know each other. Good times. We took a trip today to Hammond's Candies and took a tour. Then we went on the Lightrail downtown and explored the public library. It's pretty cool, and big. There was so much to see in so little time. We'll most definitely have to make that trip again when the weather gets better. Too bad Dan had to go back to work from 'vacation time' and let us have all the fun. (They're making candy cane's in this picture. It was so cool to watch the whole process!)

Presents
He knew what to do with it... it was on the tray, therefore it goes in the mouth, right? When there were only crumbs left he just spred them around.
Soren is officially 1 year old. It feels sort weird to say, because I can remember him being so little not very long ago. Lately he has looked so much bigger and acting like a big boy. It's fun to watch him try to figure things out. He has been doing it a lot lately, and if I do say so myself, he does a good job at it. Which slightly frightens me for how long before he figures things out that I don't want him to figure out, such as, climbing bookcases, counters. You get the idea.
We're so glad we could have Sara with us for the little time it was. She taught Soren a new trick with his tongue that he only started after she left. She also helped him practice walking. He had to show off what he could do, or course. Thanks Sara for being with us! You are welcome back ANY TIME!!
