We've been having fun. Eating, sleeping, making noises, pooping... in every order possible and not always conveniently. Soren looks older every day and is packing his cheeks with milk. He's definitally not starving, the little chunk.
Last Thursday Dan woke up with a chest cold or something. We're not sure exactly what he had, but it wasn't good. He tried going to work hoping it would get better, but ended up coming home half way through the day then slept for 5 hours. He didn't go to work Friday and we mostly slept all day. Dan slept on the living room floor in his sleeping bag for a few nights so his germs wouldn't spread to us. I woke up Saturday morning with a fever of 99.9 degrees, but after a few more hours of sleep it went down. Soren never seemed effected by whatever we had, maybe from the precausions we took...
Things for Dan started looking up on Sunday and we were grateful whatever he had wasn't terribly serious. He went back to work on Tuesday, but is still pretty drained from the whole experience. This last weekend we had a baby shower. With all of our moves during pregnancy we were never in one place long enough to have one. So it was really nice to have someone here say to me, "I want to throw you a shower, when do you want it?" We decided to have it after the holidays and once little Soren came. We were given lots of really nice things that will help us so much, and Soren will use lots.
All I have to talk about it Soren. Partly because that's all I do right now as I recover, but most importantly because he's so gosh darn cute! It's fun to see him looking more and more like "himself" and not so much like a newborn. I haven't loaded the pictures on our camera to the computer yet, so here's a picture from last week.
