Time?

Where have the days gone? It seems like most of January has been spent with either Soren or I feeling under the weather. Luckily Dan has escaped most of what we've had. Soren has had some sort of sick (whether a cold, fever, cough, or all the above) every week this month. He seems to get well enough on the weekends, and then it hits again in the week with something new. Welcome to toddler-hood I suppose! So, getting on to blog is certainly last on my list of to-do's each day. I decided to bite the bullet today and not nap with Soren...hopefully I won't regret it by the end of the day.

A lot has happened this month in spite of it all, with or without me in my right mind.
  • The 2 boys shared their birthday on the 4th (a future blog in the works)
  • Dan had a second interview with a great company, and got the job! Monday will be his first day. We are so excited for his growth and are looking forward to having him a little closer to home. This couldn't have come at a better time.
  • We decided to go with a Verizon mi-fi because were tired of being so disappointed looking for ridiculously priced Internet-only options. So, I'll be on here more than once a month... maybe...
  • Soren is talking up a storm. We're getting better at communicating so I can tell what he needs/wants. We're working on potty training, but still touch and go.
  • Dan started up his pre-rec. classes for a Masters in Accounting. He'll be doing 2 online classes both this semester and next then the real deal starts next fall.
  • We love having my parents so close! We have seen them at least once a week this month. What a nice change!
  • I experimented cutting my own hair on Saturday. I would have to say I am pleased with the outcome. It was a good first attempt with this short of a style. I love cutting hair, I just HATE that it goes everywhere!
  • I've been experiencing being a single parent at church. Dan has assignments at all the ward conferences in the stake, which leaves Soren and I in sacrament together. We've been managing alright, but the new meeting time is totally throwing off his nap time. He gets about an hour between church and choir. We're not all too chipper on Sunday afternoons. It'll be nice to have a papa at church with us again come the end or March.
  • This week marks 30 weeks in this pregnancy, only 10 more to go. I'm waddling, waking in the night with terrible calf cramps, forgetting everything, and not fitting into most clothes(but, thanks to Evelyn letting me borrow her maternity clothes I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel). This little girl is SUPER active for the majority of each day. She is seriously 10x more active than Soren ever was inside. I wouldn't be surprised if I have bruises all over my insides and she comes out doing jumping jacks.
  • Bought a new humidifier - our other one just wasn't cutting it. Pretty sure it as causing some of our sickness. I'm hoping to have better luck with this one.

All in all we have felt terribly blessed with everything going so well right now. Feeling rotten physically is forgotten completely when I count my many many wonderful blessings! I love my family! I have a GREAT husband!!

Only 10 more weeks! How exciting! Glad you are doing well for the most part. It is extra hard being pregnant when you have a little one with tons of energy that wants you to do everything with him all the time, but it is great! I'm glad you are enjoying having your folks there, but we sure do miss them here! :( Love to you all!
