We got this mirror at a garage sale for $5 at the end of last summer. It needed to be refinished, badly, before we put it up. I finally was tired of seeing it leaning against a wall downstairs that I did something about it. I chose a sunny day 2 weeks ago to take it outside, take it apart and get sanding.
I had most of it sanded before the weather took a turn for rain. It sat inside in pieces for a couple days, but I was determined to get this one on the wall. I spray painted it black to match the rest of our frames and got it put back together last week. It's 38 pounds, so mounting it was a concern of ours. We put it up on Saturday and I love the extra light it shines into our living room.
It's just above the piano, so now we can practice our faces while we sing. That's what every piano ought to have. It still feels great to get something as big as this done. I think I'll start pulling other projects out next week.
