Here's a little of what's been soaking up our nights and weekends, and the progress that's been happening around here.
This is last month, when the demolition began. I think I'm pretty safe in saying this was their favorite part. Who doesn't like slamming on walls?
The north wall of the kitchen, where the sink used to be.
Dan - cutting out the whole for the window on the south wall.
Dad and Dan spent a LONG time down there getting the plumbing re-routed.
Drywall day! Braeden came and taught us how it's done. Thank you. Thank you!
Teaching Dan the 'tricks of the trade'. Good news. We have walls again!
He gave me a chance at it so I could say I actually DID something. So nice. I got to cover all the screws. Not too grueling. We've been doing much more of it lately and I honestly think it's therapeutic. I could putty all day long. Just not on the ceiling. Talk about a stiff neck...
My Dad had surgery on his mouth the day before, so he couldn't do any heavy lifting or strenuous activity. He was a BIG help with clean-up.
(Un)Fortunately Soren found the drywall cutting pile outside. He had it everywhere-face, hair, you name it! Good thing it's super easy to get off in the wash.
I couldn't help but share this one. We have gotten flexible with our sitting arrangements.
We've been trying to get the texturing done and putting the finishing touches on it before we can paint. And then the cabinets will be exiting the front room and entering the kitchen. My AWESOME find on Craigslist this week was a wooden kitchen table, 4 chairs, and a china hutch for $35. I am extreemly pleased with my purchase! I can hardly wait to put it in the dinning room! And I can also hardly wait to see what other gems I'll find on craigslist.

That's awesome you guys are able to do all of the remodelling. It looks fun, but I'm sure if I ever actually did any I wouldn't think so... Pretty impressive for a woman who just had a baby!
