I decided to keep me from not knowing what to do, and not getting overwhelmed every day this summer I'd designated each day of the week as a certain activity.
Monday-Library Day. We'll go to story time at the library close to us. And try to read as much as possible. I'll throw in some other learning on these days too, like letters, numbers and shapes.
Tuesday-Field Trip Day. Choose a new place to visit, preferably somewhere that's free and fun.
Wednesday-Movie Theater Day. We're going to attend some of the family summer movies where Soren and Lily are free, and I'm $1. Some of the weeks I'm not interested in what they're playing, so we'll set up our own movie theater at home.
Thursday-Craft Day. Do something crafty with Soren. (Ironically this will be my major cleaning day)
Friday-Park Day. Probably park and picnic. Soren loves this. He's always asking to go to the park.
Saturday-Work and Play Day. Our day with Dan. We'll probably let him choose what we'll do. :o)
So that's our plan. Hopefully I'll stick close to it so every day doesn't get mundane. I love finding new favorite places to visit and things to do. Who wants to stay home all day, every day anyway? ...That was a lot of ay's!
