Rough one

So a few months ago I was pretty positive we were sent this little boy who can sleep really well for a reason. He was sleeping through the night before he turned 3 months, yeah way good. Especially because both Dan and I don't function too well without sleep. Dan can fall asleep in about 2 seconds and start dreaming, which doesn't help him at work. I get very cranky and impatient, which is especially not helpful with a sad baby.

With that said...it's been a rough couple days. Soren recently has decided he hates bed time. He now refuses to lay down and fall asleep like he used to do so easily on his own. The reason for this is beyond my imagination. I was thinking it was because he's teething, but now that he has a new tooth through I've felt around for swollen gums and there's nothing of the kind.

Monday morning Dan and I woke to jabs and kicks at our sides. Somehow this little boy made it into our bed in the wee-hours of the morning. How he got there...we're not sure. Neither of us can even remember hearing him cry. Needless to say it was a rough night for all. Then last night I put him in his crib and he stood and screamed for just shy of an hour. Come on now! He gets so worked up sometimes that I think he forgets why he was crying in the first place. I pulled him out and checked all the possibilities. Diaper was fine, gums were fine, no fever. After attempting to calm him I laid him in my lap, and was out in 10 minutes. For the love. He woke in the night and stood in his crib and cried for I don't know how long. I insisted in letting him cry it out this time. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes later and went back to sleep. This morning he woke about 15 minutes before our alarm and stood there and cried some more. I know he must be uncomfortable in some way, but I'm not sure what it is. But one thing's for sure...it's getting old. I have a great idea! How about we'll all sleep the whole night again. Please?

The book - "How to Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems"
by Richard Ferber. We bought it, I'm sure your library has it. It really helped us! Good luck
