First Week

Week ONE as a family of 4.

Dan took a couple days off work to help out at home, Lisa has rested when she can but it never seems like enough, Soren has been a good brother and thinks Lily is pretty fun. At least so far...

We haven't taken very many pictures of our little one because the view didn't really change in the past 7 days. This is what she looked like during the day:

And at night:
We have a blue baby! Pretty exciting. Her biliruben levels upon leaving the hospital were normal. However at her checkup on day 3 it was above where they like, so they wanted to put her under lights. If she wasn't eating or getting her diaper changed (which was WAY more often because of the bed) she was laying on this bili-bed. We burned through diapers like you wouldn't believe! We went into the doctors office day after day this week and had her blood taken for testing. Her poor little heals are covered in scars now. I can count 11 marks. She got used to it after the first few trips though and would fall asleep after the first prick rather than scream the whole time. Maybe she thought it was some sort of leg and foot message. Who knows. Her levels were low enough by Saturday that we could take her off the bili-bed. Which was perfect timing because Dan's parents came to visit us on Saturday so they actually got to hold her and give her loves.

Grandma bonding time.

We spent some time with both Grandma's and Grandpa's last night. Lisa's parents come down from Firestone to attend an Easter Fireside Dan and I sang in and watch the kiddo's. Soren thought he was pretty hot stuff for getting so much attention. He was dead tired by the end of the day, and was in bed for this picture.

Kathy and Jeff will be here until tomorrow. We sure have enjoyed having them here! Thanks for spending your vacation with us!!

Yay! Congrats Lisa! We had our little one on a bili-blanket for a few days, too. It's crazy with two sometimes huh? I don't feel like I can ever put Calvin down because as soon as I do, Malcom has to give him "loves" (which tend to be not-so-gentle, if you know what I mean). Good luck to you!
