Without a Papa

Dan left yesterday afternoon to lead the high adventure with the young men at church until Saturday afternoon. They're going to the Maroon Bells, which is about 3 and a half hours north of here. He and our brother-in-law Dave took a pre-trip 2 weekends ago to scope out the area and get a better feel for what they'd be doing. The only difference was that they had to hike the whole thing in one day. They ended up going 26 miles, but it really worked out great! They took some really beautiful pictures and videos of the area that I thought I'd share.

There has been a lot of moisture this year, so everything is so green!

There's still a lot of snow up there- that is Dan standing next to a huge drift!

I'm hoping I'll get to go there some day soon. It looks so beautiful from the pictures, I can only imagine what it's like in person.
